Let me start by telling you a bit about our relationship with hummus. Hannao, myself and two of our very good friends are called the Budakesh girls. Budakesh stands for Budapest and Marrakesh, two places we have travelled at together.
While travelling together, we have created some rituals: a mojito at night in Marrakesh, and lots of hummus in Budapest :).
As vegetarians, Hannao and myself also tend to eat hummus often. I find it nice to be able to vary ingredients. For this recipe, I have added in some olives.
- 1 can chickpeas
- 90 grams green pitted olives + some for decoration
- 1 to 2 tbsp lemon juice to taste
- 1 garlic clove peeled
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 cup water
- Salt & pepper to taste
- add everything to the food processor
- process until smooth
- transfer to a dish and decorate with some sliced olives
